An engineering consulting firm is seeking a highly skilled Professional Electrical Engineer (P.E.) to join their dynamic team in New York. The successful candidate will play a vital role in designing, analyzing, and supporting electrical power systems for water, wastewater, reuse, and infrastructure projects.
Responsibilities:
- Design and analyze electrical power, lighting, and motor control systems.
- Develop and review technical drawings, specifications, and reports.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative solutions for water, wastewater, and infrastructure projects.
- Conduct system evaluations and troubleshooting to ensure compliance with standards and project requirements.
- Utilize BIM/CADD tools to produce detailed design layouts.
- Apply software tools such as ETAP and SKM for system modeling, analysis, and optimization.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in New York or eligibility to obtain licensure.
- Demonstrated experience in electrical power, lighting, and motor control system design and analysis.
- Familiarity with infrastructure-related projects, particularly water and wastewater.
- Proficiency in BIM/CADD software; experience with ETAP, SKM, or similar tools is highly desirable.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a team environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in designing systems for reuse or other environmentally sustainable infrastructure projects.
- Knowledge of electrical codes and standards applicable to infrastructure projects.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deliverables simultaneously.
