About the Role
A global industrial manufacturer is seeking a Global Marketing Director – Oil & Gas + Resources to lead its worldwide marketing strategy and innovation initiatives for the segment. This high-impact role will be based in Greater Houston and is responsible for driving market strategy, advancing the company’s technology roadmap, and delivering innovation programs with tangible business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
1. Market Strategy & Execution

Develop a comprehensive view of the global Oil & Gas + Resources market, with special focus on the U.S.

Analyze and respond to consumer trends and regional market dynamics.

Propose and execute strategic marketing plans aligned with business goals.

Ensure new product and project launches support overall product and asset strategies.
2. Customer Engagement & Relationship Management

Cultivate relationships with customers across Marketing, R&D, and Innovation functions.

Lead strategic discussions focused on collaboration, innovation, and knowledge exchange.

Translate customer needs into actionable growth and innovation strategies.
3. Innovation & Technology Leadership

Drive the marketing strategy for the Oil & Gas + Resources segment in close partnership with Sales and R&D.

Align technical and production development with high-margin application opportunities.

Develop and manage a long-term (5+ year) technology plan that outlines strategic focus areas, innovation goals, resources, and success metrics.

Establish collaborations with external science and technology organizations to enhance innovation capacity.

Secure and manage external partnerships and consultancies to support Open Innovation initiatives.
4. Financial Performance & ROI

Lead initiatives that generate measurable results from innovation programs.

Ensure strong return on investment from both internal (R&D, labs, technical teams) and external innovation resources.
5. Marketing Communications

Create and execute the communications strategy for the segment, including:

Digital marketing campaigns

Sales and marketing collateral (brochures, catalogs, presentations)
