Field Engineer (Central)

Converge Resources is actively seeking Field Engineers for a reputable Industrial Machinery Manufacturer. The Field Engineer will play a critical role in overseeing and managing industrial machinery installation projects across the Central US. You will be responsible for ensuring the successful execution of projects from inception to completion, including planning, coordination, execution, and closeout. This position requires extensive travel to customer sites.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, related fields, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of mechanical or electrical field service experience, preferably in the packaging or industrial machinery manufacturing industry.
- Strong technical aptitude and understanding of industrial machinery and equipment.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to travel extensively and work independently in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, resource allocation, and risk assessment.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the project life-cycle, ensuring clear communication, managing expectations, and addressing any concerns or issues that arise.
- Conduct site assessments to evaluate project requirements, identify potential challenges, and develop appropriate solutions.
- Coordinate project activities with internal teams, subcontractors, vendors, and customers to ensure timely delivery and installation of machinery.
- Manage project resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to ensure efficient project execution and cost control.
- Implement quality control processes to ensure that machinery installations meet company standards, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements. Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks to minimize potential disruptions and delays.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including project plans, schedules, progress reports, change orders, and customer communications.
- Provide training and support to customer personnel on the operation and maintenance of installed machinery.
- Ensure proper project closeout, including final inspections, customer acceptance, documentation handover, and post-project evaluation.
