Position: Technical Service Lead – Elevator Systems
Location: Southeast Houston (League City / Friendswood area)
Travel: Minimal (under 15%)

We’re seeking a hands-on Technical Service Lead to oversee the operational performance of our elevator systems business. This role does not require a professional engineering degree but does call for a strong background in technical service, project coordination, and leadership within the elevator or related industrial field.

The individual will take ownership of day-to-day service and project management, act as a technical resource for field teams, and collaborate closely with the service department to ensure deliverables are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with customer and contractual requirements.


Key Responsibilities

  • Align service operations with customer expectations, driving both performance and client satisfaction.

  • Oversee and provide guidance for installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of permanent elevators and temporary construction hoists.

  • Support billing processes, review payroll, and approve timesheets/expenses for field teams.

  • Schedule and provide training for technicians and subcontractors.

  • Build relationships with domestic service partners to expand installation and service coverage.

  • Uphold company policies, safety protocols, and cost-control practices across all projects.

  • Deliver remote technical support to technicians, service partners, and customers.

  • Manage service contracts and parts orders from preparation through completion.

  • Partner with internal teams to ensure projects meet profitability and quality goals.


Qualifications

  • 5+ years of technical service or field support experience within the elevator industry (or similar industrial equipment environment).

  • Familiarity with federal, state, and local codes related to elevator systems.

  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret engineering drawings and schematics.

  • Background in financial review, including project costs and service profitability.

  • Experience applying for permits, licenses, and coordinating inspections.

  • Bonus: Degree in a technical discipline, QEI certification, or electrical engineering knowledge.
